Preparation and characterization of anatase powders
Journal of the Chemical Society, Faraday Transactions, 1998Anatase powders have been prepared by precipitation and by sol–gel methods. In the former, titania was continuously precipitated at 25°C, pH 1.97 in a stirred reactor by mixing TiOSO4 and potassium hydroxide so as to keep solution supersaturation constant throughout the precipitation process.

TiO2 (Anatase) films nanotubes
Russian Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, 2014Anatase titanium dioxide nanotubes were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis with subsequent annealing in a nitrogen atmosphere. The outer diameter of particles is 10–15 nm, their inner diameter is 4–6 nm, and their length is several hundreds of nanometers.

(101)-Exposed Anatase TiO2 Nanosheets
Chemistry of Materials, 2008A soft-chemical route based on an acido-basic approach is developed to grow high specific area anatase titania nanosheets with a preferential (101) exposed surface plane and excellent photocatalytic activity.

Li sites and phase stability in TiO2-anatase and Zr-doped TiO2-anatase
Journal of Materials Chemistry, 2006The phase stability of Zr-doped Li-anatase has been studied for a wide range of Li concentrations using density functional theory calculations of representative ordered structures. Thermodynamically stable structures have been established through the full relaxation of the internal coordinates and the size and shape of the periodic unit cell.

Hydrothermal synthesis of anatase nanocrystals
International Conference and Seminar of Young Specialists on Micro/Nanotechnologies and Electron Devices, 2012The hydrothermal synthesis of TiO2 (anatase) nanocrystals has been produced. The conditions of reproducible synthesis of anatase nanocrystals by thermal treatment of water solution of titanium isopropoxide and triethanolamine at T= 80−100°C by 48 h have been found. Phase composition of final product has been verified by TEM and XRD analysis.

The anatase-rutile transition. Part 1.—Kinetics of the transformation of pure anatase
Trans. Faraday Soc., 1958Using spectroscopically pure anatase, the transition to rutile was investigated by means of X-ray spectra. Below 610°C the transition is immeasurably slow; above 730°C it occurs extremely rapidly. The conversion is second-order with respect to remaining anatase, and is characterized by an activation energy of ca. 100 Kcal/mole.

Characterization of silicated anatase powders
Journal of Materials Chemistry, 1994Silicated titanias have been prepared by reaction of commercial anatase-based TiO2 powders with tetraethylorthosilicate, followed by calcination. At low loadings orthosilicate species are found, that interact mainly with surface defects of anatase where surface hydroxy groups are located.

Photoluminescence of nitrogen-doped anatase
Materials Chemistry and Physics, 2008Abstract Photoluminescence depending on nitrogen concentration was investigated using anatase-type TiO2 prepared by the calcination of a mixture of titanyl sulfate hydrate and urea. The substitutional ratio (x) of nitrogen in TiO2 was successfully varied from 0.004 to 0.022 by changing the molar ratio of the mixture.
