Characterization of silicated anatase powders

Journal of Materials Chemistry, 1994
Silicated titanias have been prepared by reaction of commercial anatase-based TiO2 powders with tetraethylorthosilicate, followed by calcination. At low loadings orthosilicate species are found, that interact mainly with surface defects of anatase where surface hydroxy groups are located.

Photoluminescence of nitrogen-doped anatase

Materials Chemistry and Physics, 2008
Abstract Photoluminescence depending on nitrogen concentration was investigated using anatase-type TiO2 prepared by the calcination of a mixture of titanyl sulfate hydrate and urea. The substitutional ratio (x) of nitrogen in TiO2 was successfully varied from 0.004 to 0.022 by changing the molar ratio of the mixture.

La transformation TiO2(B) → anatase

Materials Research Bulletin, 1982
Abstract The transformation from BTiO 2 to anatase either above 550°C under normal pressure or at room temperature under 60 kb is explained by a process of crystallographic shear with elimination of an equal number of anionic and cationic vacancies.

Optical properties of anatase (TiO2)

Solid State Communications, 1994
Abstract We present a study of optical properties of anatase (TiO 2 ) using temperature and polarization dependent photoluminescence, optical absorption, and reflectance measurements. Anatase crystals, rutile crystals and thin TiO 2 films have been studied in parallel for comparison purposes. Visible luminescence, due to the emission of self-trapped

Paramagnetic anatase titania/carbon nanocomposites

Journal of Nanophotonics, 2017
The nanocomposites comprising of anatase titania nanoparticles uniformly distributed inside the porous carbon matrix were synthesized using furfuryl alcohol, tetrabutyltitanate, and nonionic surfactant. The characterization of the nanocomposite by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive x-ray analysis, x-ray ...

Chemisorption capabilities of anatase surface

Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1990
With methods of computer techniques and on basis of crystallographic and XRS data the surface concentration of the active centres in water chemisorption were calculated for the characteristic planes of the anatese. Calculated was also the size of graines whose stage of hydration is equal to the experimentally determined quantity of chemisorbed water.
