The nail plate is a laminated keratinized structure lying on the nail matrix (15-25%), the nail bed with its distal onychodermal band (75-85%), and the hyponychium at its free edge.

1973Die Bauchspeicheldruse hat einen quer durch den Oberbauch ziehenden langen Schenkel von 15–19 (bis 22) cm Lange, einen in seiner Grose stark variablen, plumpen kurzen Schenkel von 2–5 cm Lange. Der lange Schenkel hat um den Zeitpunkt der Geburt herum eine Lange von etwa 5,4 cm.
