Anthropometric Characteristics, Age, Sex, Drop Height, and Visual Feedback as Predictors of Dynamic Knee Valgus During Single-Leg Drop Landing

open access: yesSports
The knee is a complex joint essential for locomotion, providing stability that is crucial for avoiding biomechanical deviations such as dynamic knee valgus (DKV), a contributing injury risk factor.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Taxonomic significance of leaf epidermal features for identification of some Ficus species

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied and Experimental Biology
Morphological similarities among plant genera and species pose challenges in accurate identification, but leaf epidermis, with its diverse anatomical characteristics, serves as a valuable tool for differentiation.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Characteristic anatomical structures of rat temporal bone

open access: yesJournal of Otology, 2015
As most gene sequences and functional structures of internal organs in rats have been well studied, rat models are widely used in experimental medical studies. A large number of descriptions and atlas of the rat temporal bone have been published, but some detailed anatomy of its surface and inside structures remains to be studied.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Unveiling a New Anatomy Mnemonics Subcategorization: An Analysis of Contents Extracted from Books, Websites, and Social Media [PDF]

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Journal of Virtual Learning in Medical Sciences
Background: In the field of Anatomy, it often becomes necessary to remember any part of information by memorization, and later retrieve it. However, finding appropriate anatomical mnemonics and organizing them in a practical and universally acceptable ...
