Anatomical variations of lumbosacral plexus
Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy, 2009Deviations detected during spinal operations have motivated us to start research related to variations of lumbosacral plexus formation. Aim of this work was to find out deviations of its formation from ascension of particular roots from foramen invertebrale and foramina sacralia up to formation of terminal branches.

Anatomic Variations in Femoral Head Circulation
HIP International, 2012The purpose of this cadaveric study was to clearly define the blood supply to the femoral head to help further reduce the incidence of iatrogenic avascular necrosis (AVN). Thirty-five hips of twenty-eight fresh cadavers were injected with colored silicone.

Air conditioning analysis among human nasal passages with anterior anatomical variations.
Medical Engineering and Physics, 2018A major functional role of the nasal cavity is air conditioning of the inspired environmental air to near alveolar conditions. It is well known that the anatomical disparities among nasal passages can change airflow patterns to a great extent.

THERE ARE several anatomic variations in, or near, the oval window of the temporal bone of major significance to the otologic surgeon. The variants to be considered here are dehiscence of the fallopian canal adjacent to the oval window, distance of the utricle from medial surface of the stapedial footplate, and fibrous connections between the utricle ...

Anatomic Variations of the Frontal Sinus
min - Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery, 2003Minimally invasive approaches are increasing in popularity. We have undertaken an anatomic and radiological study of the frontal sinus that is frequently involved in the supercilliary minicraniotomy used to access the parasellar region. We wanted to evaluate the prevalence and morphological characteristics of the frontal sinus in a certain population ...

Unreported anatomical variation of septum pellucidum
Clinical Anatomy, 1997During gross anatomy dissections of the brain, a developmental abnormality of the septum pellucidum was found in a 31-year-old male cadaver. Other parts of the central nervous system in this cadaver were normal in every aspect. Histological samples were taken from the neighboring areas of this abnormality, and they were examined under light microscope ...

Anatomical variations in the circle of Willis in canines
Anatomia, Histologia, Embryologia. Journal of Veterinary Medicine Series C, 2018The circle of Willis (CW) supplies blood to the brain. In humans, anatomical variations in the CW are an important risk factor for transient ischaemic attack and stroke. In canines, anatomical variations in the CW have not been reported.

Mandibular neuralgia due to anatomical variations
European Archives of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, 1999In our large collection of macerated human adult skulls and disarticulated skulls of young individuals we found cases with an extremely large lateral lamina of the pterygoid process. The medial wall of the infratemporal fossa was defined as its formation by the lateral lamina of the pterygoid process and the medial pterygoid muscle.

Pathologic Anatomic Variations in Subtalar Anatomy
Foot & Ankle International, 1997Thirteen patients presenting with symptomatic pathologic variations or congenital deformities of the subtalar joint are presented. These variations included: four abnormal posterior talar processes, five patients with asymmetric subtalar joint development, and four congenital complete subtalar coalitions with a secondary ball-and-socket joint. In each
