Anchoring in Deliberations [PDF]
Deliberation is a standard procedure to make decisions in not too large groups. It has the advantage that the group members can learn from each other and that, at the end, often a consensus emerges that everybody endorses. But a deliberation procedure also has a number of disadvantages.

Anchored or de-anchored? That is the question [PDF]
Abstract Using a variety of approaches, this paper shows that long-term inflation expectations have de-anchored from the ECB's inflation aim. The long-term expectations reported in the ECB Survey of Professional Forecasters have not regained the levels that prevailed before the 2013-14 disinflation.

In the anchor thighplasty technique, the medial thigh lift is extended posteriorly into the infragluteal crease. The advantage is that the posterior thigh is lifted and ptosis of the caudal buttock can be corrected. Patients with buttock ptosis and medial thigh skin laxity without lateral thigh redundancy are ideal candidates.

The frequent occurrence of hydro- and pyonephrosis warrants our study as to their cause and prophylaxis. Hydronephrosis is the result of an occlusion of the ureters. This may be due to a calculus, adhesive bands, tumors, or by a kink obstructing the lumen to such an extent as to prevent the flow of urine from the kidney to the bladder. Experimentation

Anchoring the Value of Cryptocurrency [PDF]
A decade long thrive of cryptocurrency has shown its potential as a source of alternative-finance and the security and the robustness of the underpinning blockchain technology. Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Although the principles governing chromosomal architecture are largely unresolved, there is evidence that higher-order chromatin folding is mediated by the anchoring of specific DNA sequences to the nuclear matrix. These genome anchors are also crucial regulators of gene expression and DNA replication, and play a role in pathogenesis.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
