Phenotypic and Genomic Signatures of Latitudinal Local Adaptation Along With Prevailing Ocean Current in a Coastal Goby

open access: yesMolecular Ecology, Volume 34, Issue 2, January 2025.
ABSTRACT In the marine realm, unidirectional ocean currents often lead to high migration rates of marine organisms and, therefore, inhibit the formation of their latitudinal genetic structure. In contrast, cryptic latitudinal structures associated with local adaptation may frequently exist in widespread species generally exposed to a strong ...

Towards an improved understanding of Ca–Mg carbonates with nonplanar surfaces: An experimental approach

open access: yesSedimentology, Volume 72, Issue 1, Page 100-131, January 2025.
ABSTRACT Saddle dolomite is a Ca–Mg carbonate characterized by curved crystal faces, curved cleavage and sweeping extinction under cross‐polarized light. Saddle dolomite and, generally, Ca–Mg carbonates with curved crystal faces, are often assigned to the burial (hydrothermal) realm and serve as proxy archives for hydrogeochemical processes in ...

In situ techniques for Li‐rechargeable battery analysis

open access: yesCarbon Energy, Volume 6, Issue 12, December 2024.
This review categorizes widely used in situ analytical techniques based on their sources, including electromagnetic waves, electrons, neutrons, and others. One or a combination of these techniques is effective in diagnosing complex dynamic phenomena from an electronic, atomic, molecular, crystal structure, and morphology perspective.

Context‐dependent effects of geographic, climate and land cover factors on hemipteran assemblages in different ecoregions of China

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, Volume 17, Issue 6, Page 1127-1142, November 2024.
We compared the relationships between the beta diversity of hemipteran and geographic, climatic and land cover distances among the four ecoregions across China. The southern ecoregion showed higher species richness and beta diversity (steeper slope of dissimilarity‐distance relationship) than the northern ecoregions.
