ABSTRACT Case Patient 1 was a 56‐year‐old woman with systemic sclerosis; her symptoms were nausea and vomiting. Patient 2 was a 63‐year‐old woman with irritable bowel syndrome; her symptoms were diarrhea and abdominal pain. Both patients had been treated with various Kampo medicines for several years. However, their symptoms and signs had not improved.
