Technical quality of root fillings and periapical status in root filled teeth in Jönköping, Sweden
International Endodontic Journal, 2008AbstractAim To study changes in technical quality of root fillings and periapical status in root filled teeth in random samples of 20 to 70 year‐olds between 1973 and 2003.Methodology Data from dentate subjects aged 20–70 years from examinations conducted in 1973 (n = 498), 1983 (n = 530), 1993 (n = 547) and 2003 (n = 491) were used for the analysis.

[Apicoectomy and reverse filling procedure in posterior teeth].
To Helleniko periodiko gia stomatike & gnathoprosopike cheirourgike, 1991In this paper, we present the apicoectomy with reverse filling procedure in posterior teeth, as an alternative surgical method, in those cases where conservative endodontic treatment is unable or fails to bring successful results (prosthetic restorations, broken instruments, calcified and tortuous root canals, dens in dente, unfinished root apex).

Finite element analysis of immature teeth filled with MTA, Biodentine and Bioaggregate
Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine, 2020Finite element based simulation has emerged as a powerful tool to analyse the tooth strength and its fracture characteristics. The aim of this study is to compare and evaluate the fracture resistance of immature teeth reinforcement with MTA, Biodentine and Bioaggregate as an apical plug and backfill material using Finite Element Method.A 3D finite ...

One-year clinical evaluation of composite fillings and inlays in posterior teeth
Clinical Oral Investigations, 1997In the course of a prospectively designed long-term clinical trial, composite fillings and inlays were evaluated for clinical acceptability as restorative materials in one, two or more surface cavities of posterior teeth over a 1-year period. In 45 patients, 88 restorations were placed by nine student operators, under the supervision of an experienced ...

Blackout and other artefacts in computed tomography caused by fillings in teeth
Neuroradiology, 1980The disturbing artefacts from fillings in teeth were experimentally studied. Pins of amalgam and composite with different diameters were scanned in 10 mm and 5 mm slices. Amalgam gave five different artefacts: (1) blackout, (2) tuning fork artefact, (3) star-burst, (4) collimation artefact in the narrow slice and (5) connecting line artefact.

Cusp movement in molar teeth using dentine adhesives and composite filling materials
Biomaterials, 1987Forty extracted molar teeth were stored in saline. After MOD cavities were prepared and the dimensions of each cavity recorded, the teeth were restored with either a microfine or hybrid composite in conjunction with a dentine adhesive. Cusp movements were recorded from two linear variable displacement transducers attached to the cusps.
