Locally adapted Arabidopsis thaliana accessions show transcriptomic plasticity in a multi‐timescale analysis of whole‐genome gene expression in a natural environment

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Natural Arabidopsis thaliana accessions showed remarkable plasticity in both life‐cycle phenology and whole‐genome gene expression patterns in in natura field experiments. Nevertheless, local adaptation in fitness‐related life‐history traits can also be detected at the whole‐genome gene expression level.

Long‐term stability of sinus complication management

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView.
Abstract Maxillary sinus augmentation shows a low incidence of complications and high clinical success due to favorable biological conditions and typically transient issues. Most complications are intraoperative, such as Schneiderian membrane perforation or hemorrhage, and are often resolved immediately.

Individual variability shapes interaction rewiring and fosters ecosystem restoration by reintroduced giant tortoises in the Seychelles

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Giant tortoises are critical for restoring lost ecological interactions on islands. Following their extinction in Seychelles centuries ago, key ecosystem processes like seed dispersal, browsing, and nutrient cycling were disrupted.

Turning Vulnerability Into Strength: How Independent Regulatory Agencies Enhance Accountability and Build Stakeholder Trust

open access: yesRegulation &Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Trustable environments are highly appreciated for regulatory performance, but difficult to emerge. A condition for making trust work is to accept vulnerability, and this holds both for stakeholders and agencies in public governance. Trust‐related vulnerability can be understood as a dynamic perception of potential harm derived from entering ...

Development and Validation of Nomogram‐Based Predictive Models for Severe Hypoglycemia in Adults With Type 1 Diabetes Treated With Multiple Daily Injections: The SEHYPAN Study [PDF]

open access: yesDiabetes Metab Res Rev
ABSTRACT Background Severe hypoglycemia is a major acute complication of type 1 diabetes (T1D) and is associated with increased morbidity, mortality, and impaired quality of life. Identifying individuals at the highest risk remains essential for optimising preventive strategies in real‐world practice.
