Cardiovascular disease incidence and cancer risk in two large European prospective cohorts

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
What's New? Cardiovascular disease (CVD) and cancer share risk factors and biological mechanisms, raising questions about potential associations between the two, particularly regarding CVD duration and cancer onset. Whether CVD influences subsequent cancer risk, however, remains inconclusive.

Sensitive Period Analysis of Adulthood BMI and Cancer Risk: An Individual Participant Data Meta‐Analysis of Over 720,000 Participants in the ABACus 2 Consortium

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
Over a dozen cancers have been associated with excess body mass index, primarily in mid‐to‐late adulthood. Whether obesity‐related cancer risk differs across adulthood remains unclear. Residence Near Agricultural Crops at Birth and Risk of Adult Testicular Germ Cell Tumors: A French Nationwide Case–Control Study Using Historical Aerial GIS Data

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.

A Cross‐Sectional Survey Study Assessing the Quality of Life and Sleep in Spanish Psoriasis Patients

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Psoriasis impacts quality of life (QOL) and sleep (QOS), yet dermatology assessments often do not evaluate sleep. The Short‐form health survey (SF‐36) and Pittsburg sleep quality index (PSQI) further investigated patients’ QOL and QOS. Particularly women, unemployed patients, and those that use sleep medications had worse QOS and QOL.
