Evaluating Tranexamic Acid Dosing Strategies for Postpartum Hemorrhage: A Population Pharmacokinetic Approach in Pregnant Individuals

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Tranexamic acid (TXA) is used for the treatment and occasionally prevention of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH); however, questions still remain regarding dosing regimen optimization. This study evaluated TXA pharmacokinetic (PK) data from four clinical trials (NCT: 04274335, 03287336, 00872469, and 02797119) conducted in pregnant participants ...

Outcomes of POCUS‐Guided Peripheral Intravenous Access in Difficult Venous Access Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
POCUS‐guided peripheral intravenous (PIV) access significantly improves success rates in patients with difficult venous access. This technique leads to higher first‐attempt success, fewer attempts, shorter procedure times, and reduced complications compared to standard methods, making it a safer and more efficient option for challenging cases ...

The role of sleep deficiency in the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and early adolescent pain outcomes

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Sleep deficiency may underlie the negative effects of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on adolescent health outcomes, including persistent/recurrent pain (PRP).
