Mass‐forming intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma: treatment outcomes after curative‐intent resection in an Australian tertiary referral hospital

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.
The study provides results from 25 years of experience in curative‐intent liver resections for patients with mass‐forming intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma in Australia. Short (2‐Hour) Non‐Oxygenated End‐Ischemic Hypothermic Perfusion Versus Cold Storage in the Setting of Renal Transplantation

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
EI‐HMP enhances urine output and reduces ICU stay in kidney transplant patients, particularly in ECD grafts, but does not significantly impact long‐term survival or dialysis avoidance. These short‐term benefits suggest EI‐HMP may improve early recovery, although its long‐term efficacy requires further investigation through randomized controlled trials.

Human hypoxia models in aerospace medicine: Potential applications for human pharmacological research

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aerospace medicine required controlled terrestrial models to investigate influences of altered atmosphere conditions, such as hypoxia, on human health and performance. These models could potentially be expanded to encompass disease conditions or treatment targets regulated through hypoxia or hypercapnia.

Randomised controlled feasibility trial of retroperitoneal vs transperitoneal robot‐assisted partial nephrectomy: the ROPARN study

open access: yesBJU International, EarlyView.
Objectives To assess the feasibility of trial recruitment and confirm that retroperitoneal robotic partial nephrectomy (RRPN) has the same oncological efficacy as transperitoneal robotic partial nephrectomy (TRPN), with time advantages and less peri‐operative morbidity, in a randomised controlled trial (RCT). Patients and Methods The study was designed
