Resveratrol and pterostilbene reduced the steatotic status of animals fed a high‐fat, high‐sucrose diet, involving differential and specific mechanisms of action for each stilbene. Thus, changes in riboflavin metabolism, nicotinamide mononucleotide metabolism, or in the LysoPC(18:1)‐mediated effects contribute to the specific actions of pterostilbene ...

Male and female mice were fed different diets for up to 24 weeks to study the effects of phytosterols (PS) on weight gain and brain immune cells. PS reduced weight gain in HFD‐fed mice. Microglia were isolated from brains and analyzed, revealing no diet‐driven inflammation changes, but differences based on sex and age.

Purpose Hyperpolarized (HP) carbon‐13 (13C) MRSI provides real‐time information about metabolic processes but lacks high temporal and spatial resolution. This study introduces a multi‐echo–balanced steady‐state free precession (ME‐bSSFP) method with a 3D radial readout trajectory in a spiral phyllotaxis pattern as a method for non‐Cartesian HP 13C MRSI
