Treatment of Iatrogenic False Aneurysms

Journal of the American College of Surgeons, 2003
The incidence of iatrogenic false aneurysms has risen exponentially in recent years. Although this growth in peripheral vascular injuries likely is multifactorial in origin, the increasing complexity of percutaneous techniques combined with public demand for minimally invasive procedures has probably contributed.

False Aneurysm of the Right Atrium

Chest, 1979
A false aneurysm of the right atrium is described. The false aneurysm appeared after open-heart surgery and was probably related to loosening of a right atrial suture. Because of the low pressure in the right atrium, the danger of rupture seemed to be low, and conservative therapy was chosen.

False carotid aneurysm in a sheep

Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 1986
A false carotid aneurysm was diagnosed in an adult Suffolk sheep examined because of dyspnea and dysphagia associated with a parotid-area mass. This case illustrates an unusual cause of dyspnea
