Abstract Internal carotid artery (ICA) dissection is a rare and potentially devastating cause of cerebral ischaemia, initiated by an intimal tear or rupture of the vasa vasorum, that can lead to an intraluminal thrombus, vascular stenosis, occlusion, or dissecting aneurysm formation.

A Case of Perforated Peritonitis Caused by the Migration of a Single‐Puncture Gastric Wall Fixation Device Following Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy

Abstract We report an uncommon case of perforated peritonitis resulting from the migration of a single‐puncture gastric wall fixation device following percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy. An 83‐year‐old male developed acute peritonitis 6 days post‐procedure, requiring emergency surgery.

Endoscopic Step‐up Approach for Walled‐off Necrosis After Acute Pancreatitis

ABSTRACT This review outlines current interventional strategies for treating symptomatic walled‐off necrosis (WON) after necrotizing pancreatitis. Mortality from acute pancreatitis has improved, but late mortality, particularly from infected necrosis, remains a challenge. WON requires invasive treatment in cases of infection or symptoms.
