Artificial intelligence based prediction models for individuals at risk of multiple diabetic complications: A systematic review of the literature

open access: yesJournal of Nursing Management, Volume 30, Issue 8, Page 3765-3776, November 2022., 2022
Abstract Aim The aim of this review is to examine the effectiveness of artificial intelligence in predicting multimorbid diabetes‐related complications. Background In diabetic patients, several complications are often present, which have a significant impact on the quality of life; therefore, it is crucial to predict the level of risk for diabetes and ...

Exploration of High and Low Frequency Options for Subperception Spinal Cord Stimulation Using Neural Dosing Parameter Relationships: The HALO Study

open access: yesNeuromodulation: Technology at the Neural Interface, EarlyView., 2021
Abstract Objectives Subperception spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is described mostly utilizing waveforms that require high energy. However, the necessity of these waveforms for effective subperception has not been established. We aimed to explore whether effective subperception pain relief can be achieved using frequencies below 1 kHz.

Angina pectoris and cold

open access: yesInternational Rehabilitation Medicine, 1983
Ten patients with angina pectoris and a history of cold intolerance performed symptom limited work tests at +18 degrees C and at -17 degrees C. At -17 degrees C the work capacity was found to be 20% lower than at +18 degrees C. In nine of the patients the work load necessary to elicit anginal pain was lower in the cold.

Investigation of Malondialdehyde (MDA), Homocysteine (Hcy) and C- reactive protein (CRP) in sera of patients with Angina Pectoris

open access: yesAl-Mustansiriyah Journal of Science, 2019
Homocysteine (Hcy) has been considered as an independent risk factor for coronary artery disease (CAD Oxidative stress and free radicals are known to have important roles in the development ofAngina Pectoris. Oxidative stress is present in cardiovascular

Inverse uncertainty quantification of a mechanical model of arterial tissue with surrogate modeling [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Disorders of coronary arteries lead to severe health problems such as atherosclerosis, angina, heart attack and even death. Considering the clinical significance of coronary arteries, an efficient computational model is a vital step towards tissue engineering, enhancing the research of coronary diseases and developing medical treatment and ...
