A Thresholding for Radionuclide Angiocardiography
Investigative Radiology, 1981A thresholding algorithm for nuclear angiocardiographic studies is presented. The algorithm is free of operator intervention. The threshold is defined on the basis of the distribution of picture elements with decreasing count rates during systole. The application is valid for first-pass and equilibrium ECG gated studies.

EVALUATION OF ANGIOCARDIOGRAPHY
Journal of the American Medical Association, 1943This report summarizes the examination of 100 persons by the Robb-Steinberg method.1The patient material comprises the groups included in the accompanying table. Many of the patients suffered from other ailments, such as hemiplegia due to hypertensive cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, nephritis and the like.

Death Following Angiocardiography
, 1950Isolated deaths have been known to occur following injection of contrast media for angiocardiography, and one following intracardiac injection (1). Pendergrass and his co-authors (2), in response to a questionnaire addressed to over 1,000 radiologists ...

Angiocardiography in Constrictive Pericarditis
Chest, 1974The conventional x-ray film examinations and the angiocardiographic features of 13 cases of constrictive pericarditis are analyzed and compared with those in five cases of pericardial effusion and four cases of congestive cardiomyopathy. The conventional x-ray film examination can contribute to the diagnosis of constrictive pericarditis if the ...

Angiocardiography in pulmonary disease
The American Journal of Surgery, 1955I N 1938 a practical method of visualizing the chambers of the heart, the pulmonary circulation and the great blood vessels during life (nomcalled angiocardiography) was introduced.lJ This was followed by detaiIed descriptions of the opacified CardiovascuIar structures in health and disease, so that in the ensuing sixteen years the importance of ...

A Syringe Heater for Angiocardiography
Radiology, 1961Rapid development of effective surgical methods for correcting congenital and acquired cardiovascular lesions has created a need for precise roentgen demonstration of the cardiac chambers. Increasing experience with angiocardiographic technics has shown the diagnostic advantages of the selective injection of contrast medium through accurately ...

Equipment for Angiocardiography [PDF]
When Forssmann, in 1929 in Berlin, introduced a catheter into his own right auricle via a cubital vein, he performed the first heart catheterization. He failed, however, to visualize the chambers of the heart when in 1931 he injected an iodide solution.

Quantitative radionuclide angiocardiography
Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, 1987Quantitation of cardiac pump function using radionuclide angiocardiography provides objective information for the management of patients with heart disease. Left and right ventricular ejection fraction, stroke volume ratio, ejection rate, diastolic function, ventricular volume, parametric imaging, amplitude and phase analysis, and shunt quantification ...
