Increased 18F-ALF-NOTA-FAPI and 18F-FDG Uptake in Renal Angiomyolipoma.
Clinical Nuclear Medicine, 2022Angiomyolipoma is a common benign tumor in the kidney. Previous publication reported that renal angiomyolipoma had very low to low uptake of 18F-FDG. We report a case of pathologically proven angiomyolipoma in the left kidney with intense 18F-FDG and 18F-

Angiomyolipoma is a benign tumor, usually of the kidney, that is frequently associated with tuberous sclerosis. Extrarenal tumors are rare. Cutaneous lesions have only recently been reported. We report a case of cutaneous angiomyolipoma with results of clinical, histologic, and immunohistochemical evaluation.

AbstractA case of angiomyolipoma arising in the anterior abdominal wall is reported and compared with other reported cases of extrarenal angiomyolipoma. None of the patients had tuberous sclerosis and no recurrence was noted following simple excision.

Intramyocardial Angiomyolipoma
The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 1994We report a case of cardiac angiomyolipoma in a 48-year-old woman who went to the hospital because of shortness of breath. Cardiac ultrasonography showed a right atrial mass, which was surgically removed. Pathologic examination revealed a 6-cm-diameter, dome-shaped mass composed of a mixture of blood vessels, smooth muscle, and fat.

AbstractRenal angiomyolipomas are generally benign tumors which are composed of smooth muscle, fat, and blood vessels. Classically these have been diagnosed with the use of arteriograms; however, since ultrasound and CAT scans have come into use these now are the common modalities for diagnosis.

Angiomyolipomas (AMLs) are hamartomatous lesions containing smooth muscle, vasculature and mature adipose tissue. AML occurs most frequently in the kidneys, with the liver being the second commonest site of involvement. Other localizations for AML are extremely rare and, to our knowledge, only six cases of AML of the nasal cavity have been reported to ...

An unusual case of a patient with tuberous sclerosis who presented initially with renal symptoms is presented. Electromicroscopic observations showed the smooth muscles to contain myofilaments and an unusual amount of glycogen. Although the response of the tumor vessels to epinephrine in angiomyolipoma is considered similar to that of renal cell ...

We report a rare case of angiomyolipoma located in the subcutis on the nose. A 54-year-old female first noticed a small, asymptomatic mass on her nose in 1994 and underwent tumor excision in April 1999. Histopathological examination revealed a typical form of angiomyolipoma, showing a proliferation of mature adipocytes, smooth muscle fascicles, and ...

AbstractA case of angiomyolipoma found in the subgaleal lesion is reported. Lipoma appearing between the galea and periosteum of the frontal bone is called subgaleal or subfascial lipoma and usually consists histopathologically of mature fat cells. We experienced a case of so‐called subgaleal lipoma; however, the distinctive histologic features of our ...
