Therapeutic and Diagnostic Roles of MSC‐Derived Exosomes in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 12, December 2025.
Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)‐derived exosomes deliver bioactive cargos, including miRNAs, neurotrophic factors, and antioxidant molecules, that modulate neuronal survival, microglial phenotype, and amyloid plaque clearance in Alzheimer's disease. These actions reduce apoptosis, oxidative stress, and inflammation, promote neurogenesis, enhance Aβ ...

The Use of Parabulbar and Sub‐Tenon Injections to Correct Isolated Resistant Diplopia in Patients With Generalized Myasthenia Gravis: A Long Road to Clinically Meaningful Success

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
Changes in ocular alignment following parabulbar betamethasone in myasthenia gravis. Paired images obtained before and after parabulbar betamethasone (0.5 mL per eye; April 22 and May 6, 2025) demonstrate improved horizontal alignment and reduction of vertical deviations in primary gaze, upgaze, right gaze, and left gaze.

Amyloid Beta in Alzheimer's Disease: Mechanisms, Biomarker Potential, and Therapeutic Targets

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 12, December 2025.
The limited clinical efficacy of anti‐Aβ antibodies has challenged the Aβ hypothesis, compelling the integration of key mechanisms—including neuroinflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, and post‐translational modifications of Aβ—into a revised model of Alzheimer's disease.

Mesenchymal stem cells overexpressing XIST induce macrophage M2 polarization and improve neural stem cell homeostatic microenvironment, alleviating spinal cord injury

open access: yesJournal of Tissue Engineering
Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a significant cause of disability worldwide, with limited treatment options. This study investigated the potential of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) modified with XIST lentiviral vector to modulate ...

Red Wine May Mitigate the Risk of Intracerebral Hemorrhage by Preventing Hypertension—A Mendelian Randomization Study Combining CHARLS

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study shows alcohol increases intracerebral hemorrhage risk (OR = 1.21), while red wine reduces it (two‐sample MR OR = 0.61; multivariable MR OR = 0.55), partly via lowering hypertension (mediation = 13.45%). CHARLS data find wine drinkers (especially elderly males) have lower hypertension (OR = 0.54), and this holds after multivariable logistic ...

Schisandrin A ‌ameliorates the diabetes-associated memory impairment by alleviating inflammation and ferroptosis

open access: yesActa Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica
Schisandrin A (SchA), a bioactive lignan that was isolated from the dried fruit of Schisandra chinensis, has attracted much attention because of its diverse spectrum of pharmacological effects.

Causal Relationship Between Circulating Omega‐3 Fatty Acid and Cerebral Small Vessel Disease: A Mendelian Randomization Study

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
This Mendelian randomization study demonstrated that higher circulating omega‐3 fatty acid levels were causally associated with a modest reduction in risk of cerebral microbleeds (CMB). No significant associations were observed for other CSVD phenotypes, including WMH, LS, and WMPVS.
