58. Double coronary balloon angioplasty of the aorta in an infant
We are reporting the first case of double coronary balloon usage in infants. A 10 weeks old male infant underwent successful surgical repair for severe coarctation of the aorta at the age of 14 days with end to end anastamosis. Later on, developed significant symptomatic recoarctation. During cardiac catheterization, the narrowed segment appeared long.

Testing Method of Stent’s Radial Force [PDF]
In case of coronary arteriosclerosis and heart attack balloon-expandable stents are used. These balloon crimped implants are placed to the occluded vessel part and the balloons are pumped with big pressure (4-20 bar).

Luminal narrowing after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty. A study of clinical, procedural, and lesional factors related to longterm angiographic outcome [PDF]
Background. The renarrowing process after successful percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) is now believed to be caused by a response-to-injury vessel wall reaction. The magnitude of this process can be assessed by the change in minimal
