広東住血線虫(学名: Angiostrongylus cantonensis)は,本来ネズミを固有宿主とする寄生線虫であるが,ヒトの中枢神経系に侵入し,好酸球性髄膜炎を生じることが知られている.本症は,広東住血線虫の地理的分布により,熱帯,亜熱帯地方に多くみられ,我が国においては,流行地は沖繩地方に限られるといえるが,最近本線虫の分布は,本州や北海道にも拡大していることが確認されている.我々は,沖繩地方への旅行から札幌に戻った直後に好酸球牲髄膜炎を発症した広東住血線虫症の症例を経験したので,診断および疫学的考察を加え告した.
