A Review of Linear Multilateration Techniques and Applications
In multilateration, distances between an unknown location and several known points are used to determine the location of the unknown point. Papers on algorithms for multilateration, such as time of arrival (TOA), time difference of arrival (TDOA), and ...

NON LINEAR OPTIMIZATION APPLIED TO ANGLE-OF-ARRIVAL SATELLITE BASED GEO-LOCALIZATION FOR BIASED AND TIME-DRIFTING SENSORS [PDF]
Multiple sensors are used in a variety of geolocation systems. Many use Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) or Received Signal Strength (RSS) measurements to estimate the most likely location of a signal.

Mineralogy, mineral chemistry, and redox equilibria in ten aggregate particles from asteroid Bennu
Abstract Examination of 10 Bennu aggregate particles has revealed the presence of many phases which taken together can provide constraints on the oxygen fugacity (fO2) of Bennu samples. Phyllosilicates (saponite and serpentine), carbonates, oxides (magnetite, chromite), sulfides (pyrrhotite, pentlandite), phosphate (hydroxyapatite, Na‐Mg‐phosphate ...

Performance evaluation of correlative interferometry for angle of arrival estimation [PDF]
Radio direction finders are used to determine the direction of emitters and they are used by regulatory bodies, law enforcement, public safety and the Military.

This study proposes an approximate algorithm for the arbitrary angle of arrival (AoA) incident power spectrum in wireless environments. The approach expands approximate algorithms for small angles to the large‐angle AoA PDF.

High Resolution Methods for Angle of Departure (AOD) and Angle of Arrival (AOA) Estimation in Bistatic Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) Radar Systems [PDF]
Objectives: In this paper we make a comparative study between two adapted methods for the estimation of the angle of departure and the angle of arrival in a Bistatic multiple input multiple output radar system. Methods: We have adapted the high resolution methods known in the literature to the estimation of the parameters of the sources with a Bistatic

A Joint Channel Modeling, Parameter Estimation and Geometry‐Based Indoor Localization for 5G Systems
We propose an end‐to‐end method to accurately localize mobile stations in indoor scenarios, such as those found in Industry 4.0. To this end, we jointly perform wireless channel modeling considering mmWave and MIMO technologies, parameter estimation in 3D, and simple and fine‐grained geometry‐based localization.

Two-Dimensional AOA Estimation Based on a Constant Modulus Algorithm
We propose a two-dimensional (2D) angle of arrival (AOA) estimator using the algebraic constant modulus algorithm (ACMA). This algorithm was originally introduced to estimate the one-dimensional (1D) AOA.

A Simple Cross Correlation Switched Beam System (XSBS) for Angle of Arrival Estimation
We propose a practical, simple and hardware friendly, yet novel and efficient, angle of arrival (AoA) estimation system. Our intuitive, two-phases cross-correlation-based system requires a switched beam antenna array with a single radio frequency ...
