Delta Wing at High Angle of Attack

2017
A delta wing at high angle of attack, exhibiting vortex breakdown, is considered as a test case for hybrid RANS–LES methods. Previous results for this case had shown that standard DES computations may fail to predict the flow correctly, due to a complete lack of any resolved turbulence in the main vortex over a significant part of the wing.
