The influence of certain angles and shapes, and their relevance for marketing and industrial design

PICMET '99: Portland International Conference on Management of Engineering and Technology. Proceedings Vol-1: Book of Summaries (IEEE Cat. No.99CH36310), 1999
The aim of this article is to introduce, in the field of marketing research, the influence of shapes, which are used in advertisement images as well as product packaging and design, on consumer behavior through his opinion on the product's overall aesthetics and harmony.

Clinical Relevance of Foam Rolling on Hip Extension Angle in a Functional Lunge Position

Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2015
The objective of this study was to examine the duration of effectiveness of foam rolling on hip extension angles in a dynamic lunge position. Thirty-one subjects were assigned to control (n = 15) or intervention (n = 16) group. All the subjects followed the same testing timeline; 3 testing sessions, with 2 lunges in each session. The intervention group

Study of the 24Mg(d,p0,1,2) reactions at energies and angles relevant to NRA

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 2014
Abstract The 24 Mg(d,p 0,1,2 ) reactions were investigated in the present work for E d,lab  = 1300–2050 keV, at four backward detection angles, namely at 140°, 150°, 160° and 170°, suitable for NRA depth profiling studies. Differential cross-sections were obtained for the first three proton levels (p 0 , p 1 , p 2 ), using a variable energy step ...

Radiographic Evaluation of Baumann Angle in Chinese Children and Its Clinical Relevance

Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics B, 1999
Normal Baumann angles in 98 children aged 2 to 13 years and abnormal Baumann angles in 71 children with supracondylar humeral fractures were evaluated. In healthy children, Baumann angles ranged from 64 degrees to 80 degrees (72.4 degrees +/- 4.6 degrees) in boys and from 65 degrees to 81 degrees (72.9 degrees +/- 5.9 degrees) in girls.

[Relevance of arterial hypertension in primary open-angle glaucoma].

Klinische Monatsblatter fur Augenheilkunde, 2014
Primary open-angle glaucoma is a multifactorial disease with a lot of different risk factors. Beside the fact that intraocular pressure (IOP) is the most important risk factor, the reduction of IOP alone is in most cases not sufficient to stop the progression of glaucoma. Therefore, other risk factors play also an important role.

Bioelectrical phase angle and impedance vector analysis – Clinical relevance and applicability of impedance parameters

Clinical Nutrition, 2012
The use of phase angle (PhA) and raw parameters of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) has gained attention as alternative to conventional error-prone calculation of body composition in disease. This review investigates the clinical relevance and applicability of PhA and Bioelectrical Impedance Vector Analysis (BIVA) which uses the plot of ...

A formula relevant to functions meromorphic in an angle and its applications

1974
I. The formula referred to in the title is (I) below. The usefulness of the formula is based on the fact that it relates the value of a meromorphic function f(z) at a point of a sector to integrals of log If(z) I over arcs in this sector. Since such integrals are very directly related to the quantities considered in the Nevanlinna theory, the formula ...

Measurements of the dynamic contact angle for conditions relevant to immersion lithography

Journal of Micro/Nanolithography, MEMS, and MOEMS, 2006
The semiconductor industry has used optical lithography to create impressively small features. However, the resolution of optical lithography is approaching limits based on light wavelength and numerical aperture. Immersion lithography is a means to extend the resolution by inserting a liquid with a high index of refraction between the lens and wafer ...
