Light-Front Holography: A First Approximation to QCD [PDF]
Starting from the Hamiltonian equation of motion in QCD, we identify an invariant light-front coordinate $\zeta$ which allows the separation of the dynamics of quark and gluon binding from the kinematics of constituent spin and internal orbital angular ...

Rotating light, OAM paradox and relativistic complex scalar field
Recent studies show that the angular momentum, both spin and orbital, of rotating light beams possesses counter-intuitive characteristics. We present a new approach to the question of orbital angular momentum of light based on the complex massless scalar

Twisted-light-induced optical transitions in semiconductors: Free-carrier quantum kinetics [PDF]
We theoretically investigate the interband transitions and quantum kinetics induced by light carrying orbital angular momentum, or twisted light, in bulk semiconductors.

Mixing the Light Spin with Plasmon Orbit by Nonlinear Light-Matter Interaction in Gold
Transformation of light carrying spin angular momentum (SAM) to optical field vortices carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) has been of wide interest in recent years.

Optical orbital angular momentum transfer to electronic currents
Light orbital angular momentum (OAM) is transformed into an electronic current loop in a copper coil, by absorption of the optical radiation. The measurement of this current, that is in the 10 ^−17 A range, makes it possible to evaluate and quantify the ...

Insensitivity of spin dynamics to the orbital angular momentum transferred from twisted light to extended semiconductors [PDF]
We study the spin dynamics of carriers due to the Rashba interaction in semiconductor quantum disks and wells after excitation with light with orbital angular momentum. We find that although twisted light transfers orbital angular momentum to the excited

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Angular Momentum of Circularly Polarised Light [PDF]
BY suspending a 6 mm. diameter circular half-wave plate horizontally from a quartz fibre with a torsional constant of 2 × 108 dyne cm. per radian, and allowing circularly polarised light to traverse it, thus reversing the direction of rotation of the electromagnetic light-vectors, we were able to observe torques of amounts plus and minus 2 × 1011 dyne ...
