Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Instantaneous Angular Speed: Encoder-Counter Estimation Compared with Vibration Data [PDF]
In rotating machinery, actions of the moving parts take place at specific angular positions rather than at specific times. For this reason, having a geometrical refer- ence, such as the one provided by an encoder, and studying the Instantaneous An- gular Speed (IAS) variations can provide a large amount of information about the health status of the ...

Microfluidic electro‐viscoelastic manipulation of extracellular vesicles
The electro‐viscoelastic manipulation as a potential method for separation of particles based on size. The particles introduced as a sheath flow migrate to the channel center under the influence of simultaneously applied electric field and pressure driven flow.

Molecular determinants of signal transduction in tropomyosin receptor kinases
Tropomyosin receptor kinases control critical neuronal functions, but how do the same receptors produce diverse cellular responses? This review explores the structural mechanisms behind Trk signaling diversity, focusing on allosteric modulation and ligand bias.

SmallTalk: a novel small‐sized fusion tag for peptide expression and purification
The SmallTalk fusion tag allows for the efficient expression and purification of soluble recombinant proteins or peptides in Escherichia coli. Testing with SmallTalk‐GFP confirmed that the proteins were soluble and folded correctly, while SmallTalk‐Bin1b maintained its antimicrobial activity against various bacterial isolates. This streamlined workflow

Dataset on critical angular clamping speeds of fasteners
This article reports on an experiment that studied the critical angular clamping speeds for fasteners using the Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The study aimed to investigate the stick-slip phenomenon, a critical factor limiting the angular speed.

Lower limb angular velocity during walking at various speeds
Although it is well established that lower limb joint angles adapt to walking at various speeds, limited research has examined the modifications in joint angular velocity. There is currently no normative dataset for joint angular velocity during walking, which would be useful to allow comparisons for patient cohorts.
