Isoelectronic Alloying in Zintl Phases Mediated the Avoided Crossing and Phonon Softening
A small amount of Hf doping endows Zr3Ni3Sb4‐Zintl with an unusually low thermal conductivity far exceeding that of similar systems. Two unique phonon mechanisms—avoided crossing and phonon softening—significantly suppress the lattice thermal conductivity. The average thermoelectric figure of merit is improved by 21%.

Under the stepwise optimization strategy, (Sn, Te) co‐alloying functions as the primary initiative to enhance the power factor (PF), while the subsequent incorporation of AgCuTe operates as a synergistic maneuver to suppress lattice thermal conductivity (κlat), thereby concomitantly boosting the dimensionless figure of merit (ZT).

High coherence hybrid superconducting qubit
We measure the coherence of a new superconducting qubit, the {\em low-impedance flux qubit}, finding $T_2^* \sim T_1 \sim 1.5\mu$s. It is a three-junction flux qubit, but the ratio of junction critical currents is chosen to make the qubit's potential ...

From Phonons to Domain Walls, the Central Peak and “Critical Slowing Down”
We investigate perovskite oxides from different perspectives, namely their pseudo-harmonic dynamical properties, their dynamical properties when strong anharmonicity exists, and the intriguing functionalities arising from domain walls.
