The oscillations of a pair of classical oscillators which are synchronized because of anharmonic resonance can be calculated by the method of variation of constants. Two types of motion are studied: librational and nonlibrational—referring to oscillatory and progressive behavior, respectively, of the phase difference of the two oscillators.

Anharmonic problem without the anharmonic potential
Journal of Structural Chemistry, 2010Anharmonic effects are shown to be obtained immediately in the statement of a quantum problem as a general electronic vibrational problem in the matrix formulation and without the use of a traditional anharmonic potential. The methods to form the matrix and to calculate all matrix elements are presented.

Anharmonic solids. Thermal conductivity
Bulletin de la Classe des sciences, 1960Using a method developed by Prigogine and Henin the thermal conductivity of an anharmonic crystal is obtained to the order λ2. The calculation is performed using the « brownian motion assumption » wich enables us to get results solving relatively simple equations — a correction due to dilatation effects is also included.

Anharmonic Grassmann oscillator. II
Physical Review D, 1990An analysis of the anharmonic fermion oscillator, possessing an $\mathrm{Sp}(2)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}\mathrm{O}(N)$ symmetry, is presented. The complete solution is given for $N=2 \mathrm{and} 3$, and the general features for arbitrary $N$ are spelled out.

The principal contributions to the anharmonic coupling of amide vibrations are explored with the objective of comparing recent experiments with density functional theory and evaluating simple models of mode coupling. Experimental information obtained by means of two-dimensional infrared spectroscopy (2D IR) is reasonably well predicted by the computed ...

The article analyzes the influence of the non-linear terms of the restoring force at large deviations from the equilibrium position of an oscillating body (non-linear oscillator). Particularly, it is demonstrated, in an accessible way, that the oscillations of the anharmonic oscillator drastically differ from thoseof a harmonic one. The main reason lies
