Early parent‐child interaction and home environments of children exposed prenatally to opioids: A comparison of biological mothers and out‐of‐home caregivers

open access: yesInfant Mental Health Journal: Infancy and Early Childhood, Volume 46, Issue 3, Page 343-358, May 2025.

Population dynamics and morphometrics of Nile monitors along a gradient of urbanization in KwaZulu‐Natal, South Africa

open access: yesJournal of Zoology, Volume 326, Issue 1, Page 23-36, May 2025.
We used mark‐resight and baited camera traps to compare population density and demographics of Nile monitors (Varanus niloticus) on a gradient of land use, namely a golf course, a farm and a nature reserve in KwaZulu‐Natal, South Africa, during 2022–2023. We also collected detailed morphometrics on 112 Nile monitors throughout KwaZulu‐Natal.

Opinion and report of the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) on the assessment of the impact of fox population dynamics on public health

open access: yesFood Risk Assess Europe, Volume 3, Issue 2, April 2025.
ABSTRACT The Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) can be hunted as a game species. It may also be listed as a “species likely to cause damage” (ESOD – the acronym in French), for public health reasons among others. Conversely, benefits linked to the presence of foxes are also put forward, such as the predation of rodents carrying zoonotic agents.

Pollinator functional group abundance and floral heterogeneity in an agroecological context affect mating patterns in a self‐incompatible wild plant

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, Volume 111, Issue 12, December 2024.
Using a farm‐scale experiment, we investigated how the mating outcomes (expected heterozygosity and paternity correlation) of Cyanus segetum in agroecological infrastructures (herbaceous field margins) are affected by the interplay between pollinator functional group abundance and, respectively, the relative maternal plant attractiveness and the local ...
