Cooperative and Non‐Cooperative Solutions in a Dynamic Model of Forest Management

open access: yesNatural Resource Modeling, Volume 39, Issue 3, August 2026.
ABSTRACT This study develops a deterministic finite‐horizon bioeconomic control model linking forest biomass, biodiversity, cumulative harvesting pressure, and disturbance‐motivated expected biodiversity losses. Biodiversity is modeled as a productive state variable that feeds back into biomass growth, while cumulative harvesting pressure records the ...

Younger age and prior graft failure are associated with increased risk of ACL reinjury: Graft survival and contralateral ACL outcomes at a median 10.6‐year follow‐up after primary hamstring autograft reconstruction

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics, Volume 13, Issue 3, July 2026.
Younger age (≤21 years) and prior graft failure independently predicted anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reinjury risk in both knees at a median 10.6‐year follow‐up after hamstring autograft reconstruction. Abstract Purpose To evaluate graft survival and contralateral anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury after primary hamstring autograft ...

R ( 5 , 5 ) ≤ 46

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, Volume 112, Issue 3, Page 198-208, July 2026.
ABSTRACT We prove that the Ramsey number R ( 5 , 5 ) is less than or equal to 46. The proof uses a combination of linear programming and checking a large number of cases by computer. All of the computational parts of the proof were independently implemented by both authors, with consistent results.

Young People Navigating the Looping Effects of Long Covid: Exhausting Agency and the ‘Ongoing After’ of Pandemic

open access: yesSociology of Health &Illness, Volume 48, Issue 6, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Seeing beyond the COVID‐19 pandemic as an extraordinary spectacle situated in the past, we draw on qualitative research with young people to trace experiences of Long Covid as ‘looping effects’ of entangling physical and social impacts which intersect with, and extend, those of pandemic.

International Legitimation of Authoritarianism: Venezuela's United Nations General Assembly Discourse and Domestic Power Consolidation (1999–2023)

open access: yesBulletin of Latin American Research, Volume 45, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This article examines how the Venezuelan government defended the gradual transformation of the country's political system from democracy to authoritarianism in an international forum. Building on the concept of international legitimation strategies, we qualitatively analyse Venezuelan government speeches at the United Nations General Assembly (

F IS FOR FALCON: THE TRUE STORY OF THE ‘NOVELLE’

open access: yesGerman Life and Letters, Volume 79, Issue 3, Page 311-322, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This article takes a closer look at the Boccaccio story upon which Paul Heyse based his famous ‘Falken‐Theorie’ of the ‘Novelle’. The essay then links Boccaccio to a general account of storytelling as an aid to survival amid the hostility of nature and human circumstances.

open access: yesGender, Work &Organization, Volume 33, Issue 4, Page 1416-1426, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Does gender equality work feel like a joint exploration or a restrictive verdict? Through semi‐structured interviews with managers and employees involved in organizational gender equality work in six Swedish private companies and one university, this study examines emotions in metaphors and their orientation toward organizational change ...

Hung Out to Dry: Gender Washing in Organizations

open access: yesGender, Work &Organization, Volume 33, Issue 4, Page 1390-1404, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper advances feminist organizational theory by critically examining the phenomenon of gender washing, a strategic practice whereby organizations superficially promote gender equity while perpetuating discriminatory structures. Drawing on 12 in‐depth interviews with women across diverse UK industries and professional backgrounds, this ...

Efficient Deep Learning Models for Predicting Individualized Task Activation From Resting‐State Functional Connectivity

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 9, June 15, 2026.
We propose biologically motivated deep learning models to predict individualized task‐evoked brain activation from resting‐state functional magnetic resonance imaging. By integrating attention mechanisms and graph‐based cortical modeling, our approach matches state‐of‐the‐art accuracy while substantially reducing computational cost and revealing how ...
