A qPCR Assay for the Threatened Pilbara Olive Python (Liasis olivaceus barroni)
We developed a species‐specific qPCR assay to detect Pilbara olive python (Liasis olivaceus barroni) eDNA, improving biomonitoring of this cryptic and threatened species. The assay was validated to a high level for specificity and sensitivity and successfully detected target eDNA in field samples, including some previously undetected by metabarcoding ...

Two Worlds on a Stone: Arctic Desert Hypoliths and Epiliths Show Spatial Niche Differentiation
ABSTRACT In Arctic polar deserts, rocks can be extensively colonized by phototrophic hypolithic communities that exploit periglacial sorting processes to grow beneath opaque rocks.
