Structure and properties of star shaped miktoarm isoprene-butadiene-styrene rubber

open access: yesHecheng xiangjiao gongye, 2022
Star shaped miktoarm isoprene-butadiene-styrene rubber with high wet skid resistance and low rolling resistance was prepared by living anionic solution polymerization with n-butyl lithium as initiator, cyclohexane as solvent, sodium dodecylbenzene ...

Polymerization Initiated by Graphite Intercalation Compounds Revisited: One-Pot Synthesis of Amphiphilic Pentablock Copolymers

open access: yesMacromol, 2022
This study reports the first attempt to employ a potassium–graphite intercalation compound (KC24) as an initiator for the one-pot synthesis of a multi-block copolymer.

Radical Polymerization of Alkyl 2-Cyanoacrylates

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
Cyanoacrylates (CAs) are well-known fast-setting adhesives, which are sold as liquids in the presence of stabilizers. Rapid anionic polymerization on exposure to surface moisture is responsible for instant adhesion.

Recent developments in anionic polymerization [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
peer reviewedThe past year witnessed very significant advances in the living anionic polymerization of (meth)acrylate monomers, particularly in hydrocarbons at or below 0°C.

Polymerisation via Zwitterionen

open access: yesCHIMIA, 1972
Zwitterions and ylides were for a long time considered to be inadequate to initiate ionic polymerization. Recently however, it has been proved that such reactions are possible.

Degenerative chain‐transfer process: Controlling all chain‐growth polymerizations and enabling novel monomer sequences [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The use of dormant species has opened a new era in precision polymerization and has changed the concept of living polymerization. The dormant species can be exchanged into the active species via reversible termination or via reversible chain transfer ...

Controlled Synthesis of Polyphosphazenes with Chain-Capping Agents

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
N-alkyl phosphoranimines were synthesized via the Staudinger reaction of four different alkyl azides with tris(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) phosphite. N-adamantyl, N-benzyl, N-t-butyl, and N-trityl phosphoranimines were thoroughly characterized and evaluated as

Applications of Hybrid Polymers Generated from Living Anionic Ring Opening Polymerization

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Increasingly precise control of polymer architectures generated by “Living” Anionic Ring-Opening Polymerization (Living AROP) is leading to a broad range of commercial advanced material applications, particularly in the area of siloxane macromers.

Synthesis of block copolymers by the conversion of living anionic polymerisation into living ROMP [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
A methodology for the synthesis of well-defined block copolymers from living anionic polymerisation and ring opening metathesis polymerisation (ROMP) using well-defined ruthenium alkylidene initiators has been developed.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
