Discontinuation of diphenhydramine hydrochloride therapy for allergies resulted in immediate and permanent reversal of all symptoms and signs. The atropine-like effect of antihistamines needs reemphasis.

Anisocoria in Heroin Withdrawal
Archives of Neurology, 1973Anisocoria was frequently observed during the withdrawal period in soldiers treated for heroin abuse in Vietnam. In 100 of these soldiers, the incidence of anisocoria was determined and compared with the incidence in 100 soldiers of similar age who showed no evidence of heroin use.

THE VALUE of anisocoria as a diagnostic sign has been limited by reports of normal or physiologic anisocoria in as high as 40 per cent of all patients. 1 Lowenstein's pupillographic method has eliminated a large number of cases of these so-called physiologic anisocorias through detailed cinematographic analysis under both static and dynamic conditions.
