Isotopomeric Conformational Change in Anisole–Water
Angewandte Chemie, 2005The deuteration of water produces a conformational change in the Anisole×××Water complex, as shown by the scheme. The value of the q angle decreases from 138 to 128°, while the secondary interaction O×××HMe is replaced by the O×××HPh one.

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2014
Abstract Bio-oil, derived from biomass flash pyrolysis, has been recognized as an important renewable resource for resolving the current energy crisis. However, the pyrolysis oil consists of complicated composition and has some undesired properties, including acidity, relatively high viscosity, limited thermal stability, low heating value, which ...

Ternary liquid–liquid equilibrium: Nitric acid–water–anisole/4-methyl anisole
Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2012Abstract Nitration of anisole and 4-methyl anisole with aqueous nitric acid involves liquid–liquid two phase (organic phase and aqueous acid phase) mixtures of nitric acid–water–anisole/4-methyl anisole. Nitric acid is not dissociated completely into nitronium ion, which is the nitrating agent and knowledge of its concentration in both phases is very

Abstract The microwave spectrum of the normal isotopic species of anisole was observed in the frequency ranges 8–18 and 26.5–40 GHz. Rotational constants were obtained for the ground vibrational state and the excited states of the torsional vibration of the phenyl group.

Homogeneous Pyrolysis of Anisole
Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2001Homogeneous pyrolysis of anisole in argon (1 : 25 volume ratio) at 750-900°C and contact time of 1.5-4.5 s was studied. The conversion and group composition of the tar and component composition of the gaseous pyrolysis products, phenols, and hydrocarbons were determined; asphaltenes and neutral oxygen-containing compounds were characterized.

Dielectric Studies. IX. Relaxation Processes of Anisole- and Fluorine-Substituted Anisoles
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1966The dielectric constants and losses at wavelengths of 0.428, 0.860, 1.249, 1.850, and 3.220 cm and the static dielectric constant at 149.9 m have been measured for methoxypentafluorobenzene, pentafluorobenzene, trifluoromethoxybenzene, and anisole in cyclohexane solutions at 25°C. Measurements were also carried out on trifluoromethoxybenzene in decalin

Anisole hydrolysis in high temperature water
Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2013We investigated the hydrolysis of anisole to phenol in high-temperature water with and without water-tolerant Lewis acid catalysis. With no catalyst present, anisole hydrolyzes to phenol in 97% yield after 24 hours at 365 °C, our experimentally determined optimal temperature and time.

In this work, the vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data have been generated at the local atmospheric pressure of 96.15 kPa for the binary systems acetic acid + anisole, acetone + anisole, and isopropanol + anisole. A circulation type apparatus was designed and developed with few modifications in one of the stills proposed in the literature.

Polymorphism in butylated hydroxy anisole (BHA)
Chemical Communications, 2004Single crystal X-ray analysis of butylated hydroxy anisole (BHA) reveals the existence of two polymorphs with dramatically different crystal packings sustained by OH⋯ether supramolecular heterosynthons: double helices (Form I) and discrete hexameric assemblies (Form II).

Vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) data have been measured for the binaries 1,2-dichloroethane-anisole and trichloroethylene-anisole at 353 and 373 K and pressures below atmospheric. The data were reduced using Barker's method, and they were found to be thermodynamically consistent. In addition, VLE predictions by the UNIFAC activity coefficient model were
