Anisotropic Nanoparticles and Anisotropic Surface Chemistry
The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2016Anisotropic nanoparticles are powerful building blocks for materials engineering. Unusual properties emerge with added anisotropy-often to an extraordinary degree-enabling countless new applications. For bottom-up assembly, anisotropy is crucial for programmability; isotropic particles lack directional interactions and can self-assemble only by basic ...

Anisotropic Polarization Tensors and Detection of an Anisotropic Inclusion
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 2003Summary: We introduce the notion of (generalized) anisotropic polarization tensors and prove that they are symmetric and positive-definite. We also estimate the eigenvalues of the anisotropic polarization tensor in terms of the volume of the given domain.

ANISOTROPIC UNIVERSE WITH ANISOTROPIC MATTER
Modern Physics Letters A, 2011We consider the effect of matter in the anisotropic universe of the scalar–tensor theory. We study Brans–Dicke model as a scalar–tensor theory. The matter is treated as perfect fluid type one. Just as the spacetime is anisotropic, the matter is also considered to be anisotropic.

ANISOTROPIC AFFINE ALGEBRA AND ANISOTROPIC WZW MODEL
Modern Physics Letters A, 1995Invariant action for a new kind of (anisotropic) WZW model has been constructed using the co-adjoint orbit approach and the affine anistropic algebra suggested by Sidorenko. The Alekseev-Shatashvili type of equation is used to construct the corresponding symplectic form.

Clustering Aspects of Quantum Many-Body Systems, 2002
A miscroscopic description of the alpha decay of the odd mass nuclei is given for axially deformed nuclei. Realistic mean field + pairing residual interaction in a very large single particle basis is used. Results for 221 Fr, 241Am and Pa — isotopes are reported.

Stabilized Anisotropic Diffusions
2007 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing - ICASSP '07, 2007Anisotropic diffusion is an iterative process which provides efficient signal smoothing with feature preserving capabilities. However, the traditional anisotropic diffusion algorithms are highly sensitive to the number of iterations. In this paper, we introduce a novel method in the diffusion formulations to stabilize the diffusion results.
