The anisotropic migrator's equation [PDF]

open access: possibleSEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 1989, 1989
Consider a scalar travel t,ime field, constructed by assigning to each point in space, the time at which a wave front passes. The gradient of this scalar field is called the s[ownesa. It has the units of reciprocal velocity and the direction of most rapid increase in the travel time field. Phase velocity is defined as the reciprocal of slowness.

Equations of an Elastic Anisotropic Layer

Journal of Applied Mechanics and Technical Physics, 2004
Differential equations of an elastic orthotropic layer are constructed on the basis of expansion of the solutions of the elasticity theory in Legendre polynomials. The order of the system of differential equations is independent of the form of the boundary conditions on the layer surfaces, which allows a correct formulation of conditions on contact ...

On the solutions of the anisotropic Heisenberg equation

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1994
Summary: A method based on the discrete group of the inner symmetry of integrable systems is used to derive explicit formulae for soliton-like solutions of Heisenberg ferromagnets (with biaxial or uniaxial anisotropy). The solutions are given in terms of expressions which involve ratios of two determinants.
