The Space–Time Kernel-Based Numerical Method for Burgers’ Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2018
It is well known that major error occur in the time integration instead of the spatial approximation. In this work, anisotropic kernels are used for temporal as well as spatial approximation to construct a numerical scheme for solving nonlinear Burgers ...

The pressure equation in anisotropic medium [PDF]

open access: yesStochastics and Stochastic Reports, 1996
In this paper we will prove existence and uniqueness theorems for the stochastic differential equations (both smooth and singular case) where D is a smooth domainf,g are stochastic functions and Exp is a positive white noise matrix. We will show that these equations have solutions in the space (S)-1 of generalized white noise distributions in a strong ...

On the Deformation Behavior of Metastable CrMnNi Steels Processed by Directed Energy Deposition in Different Temperature Regimes

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In the present study, metastable CrMnNi steels with varying chemical compositions and a concomitantly altered stacking fault energy are processed via directed energy deposition and afterwards tested via tensile tests at different temperatures. The present study shows the influence of the manufacturing process on the elemental deformation mechanisms for

Version [1.1] - [2D-xtDCR-LTBEM: A Fortran code for numerical solutions to the unsteady anisotropic-DCR equation of spatio-temporal coefficients]

open access: yesSoftwareX
Variable coefficient equations are usually used as governing equations for modeling problems which are associated with Functionally Graded Materials (FGM). Version 1.1 - 2D-xtDCR-LTBEM is a Fortran code that can be used to find numerical solutions of two-

"Doubled" generalized Landau-Lifshiz hierarchies and special quasigraded Lie algebras

open access: yes, 2004
Using special quasigraded Lie algebras we obtain new hierarchies of integrable nonlinear vector equations admitting zero-curvature representations. Among them the most interesting is extension of the generalized Landau-Lifshitz hierarchy which we call ...

The Effect of Thickness, Build Orientation, and Loading Rate on the Tensile and Compressive Properties of Selective Laser Sintering Polyamide 12 Specimens

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article examines how build orientation, thickness, and loading rate affect the tensile and compressive properties of LS‐manufactured polyamide 12 12 parts. Through over 120 experiments, it reveals strong ductility anisotropy in tension, minimal compressive sensitivity, and significant thickness and strain rate dependencies.

Anisotropic charged physical models with generalized polytropic equation of state

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2018
In this paper, we found the exact solutions of Einstein–Maxwell equations with generalized polytropic equation of state (GPEoS). For this, we consider spherically symmetric object with charged anisotropic matter distribution.

Anisotropy, inhomogeneity and inertial range scalings in turbulent convection

open access: yes, 2006
This paper provides a detailed study of scale-by-scale budgets in turbulent Rayleigh-B\'enard convection and aims at testing the applicability of Kolmogorov (1941) and Bolgiano (1959) theories for this flow. Particular emphasis is laid on anisotropic and

Microscale 3D Printed Pillars and Porous Polymeric Structures: Manufacturability and Micromechanics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates how two‐photon polymerization enables the fabrication of microscale solid and porous structures from IP‐Q, IP‐S, and IP‐PDMS resins. Combining morphological and mechanical characterization, the study provides the first systematic insights into IP‐Q mechanics and reveals how processing parameters affect structure and stiffness ...

Weak heteroclinic solutions and competition phenomena to anisotropic difference equations with variable exponents [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2014
In this paper, we prove the existence of weak heteroclinic solutions for a family of anisotropic difference equations under competition phenomena between parameters.
