Bosonic spinons in anisotropic triangular antiferromagnets

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
Spinons are quasisparticles that can appear in anisotropic triangular lattices, however, probing the statistics and dynamics of such excitations is experimentally challenging.

Ultra-directional super-scattering of homogenous spherical particles with radial anisotropy

open access: yes, 2015
We study the light scattering of homogenous radially-anisotropic spherical particles. It is shown that radial anisotropy can be employed to tune effectively the electric resonances, and thus enable flexible overlapping of electric and magnetic dipoles of

Evaluation of the Potential of Laser Shock Peening Compared with Cold Expansion for Improving Fatigue Resistance of Riveted Lap Joints of Aerospace Grade 7175 Al Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

Correlation between $T_c$ and anisotropic scattering in Tl$_2$Ba$_2$CuO$_{6+\delta}$

open access: yes, 2007
Angle-dependent magnetoresistance measurements are used to determine the isotropic and anisotropic components of the transport scattering rate in overdoped Tl$_2$Ba$_2$CuO$_{6+\delta}$ for a range of $T_c$ values between 15K and 35K.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Conditions for a Rotationally Symmetric Spectral Degree of Coherence Produced by Electromagnetic Scattering on an Anisotropic Random Medium

open access: yesPhotonics
The problem was recently reported that the far-zone electromagnetic momentum of light produced by scattering on a spatially anisotropic random medium can be the same at every azimuthal angle of scattering.
