Kinetic Insights into Precursor‐Assisted Soft Sphere Close Packing Revealed by In Situ GISAXS with Implications for Gas Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The versatile precursor‐assisted soft sphere close packing during slot‐die coating is investigated with in situ X‐ray scattering. The soft crystallization pathways towards a close packing involve multistep structural transitions such as surface nucleation, in‐plane, and out‐of‐plane crystallization.

The critical slab problem with the Anlı-Güngör scattering function

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology, 2023
The criticality problem in this study is studied with the recently investigated the Anlı-Güngör scattering function. The scattering function depends on the Legendre polynomials as the Mika scattering function, but it includes only one scattering ...

The Influence of Annealing on the Sb Layer in the Synthesis of [001]‐Oriented Sb2Se3 Film for Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Gas Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
[001]‐oriented Sb2Se3 film with improved crystallinity and adjusted composition is achieved via a new thermal treatment approach consisting of preliminary annealing of the Sb layer before its selenization. The findings of this work demonstrate enhanced charge carriers' transportation, a stable performance, and an improvement of H2 generation from ...

Raman scattering study of spin-density-wave-induced anisotropic electronic properties in AFe2As2 (A=Ca,Eu)

open access: yes, 2016
We present a polarization-resolved and temperature-dependent Raman scattering study of AFe2As2 (A = Ca, Eu). In the spin-density-wave (SDW) phase, spectral weight redistribution is observed in the fully symmetric and non-symmetric scattering channels at ...

Isotropic photonic band gap and anisotropic structures in transmission spectra of two-dimensional 5-fold and 8-fold symmetric quasiperiodic photonic crystals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We measured and calculated transmission spectra of two-dimensional quasiperiodic photonic crystals (PCs) based on a 5-fold (Penrose) or 8-fold (octagonal) symmetric quasiperiodic pattern.

Wavelength‐Dependent Differential Amplification of Raman Scattering by Chiral Gold Nanorods for Multiplexed Encoding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The SERS spectra of reporter molecules adsorbed on chiral gold nanorods depends on the handedness of circularly polarized light (CPL‐SERS). The bisignate plasmonic CD spectra of chiral nanorods provides wavelength‐dependent CPL‐SERS. Selective discrimination of chiral nanorod handedness and different Raman reporters allow highly sensitive codification ...

CRISPR/Cas9‐Assisted Microrobots for Fast and Ultrasensitive “On‐The‐Fly” Next‐Generation DNA Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents self‐propelled CRISPR/Cas9‐functionalized Au–MRs for rapid, amplification‐free, “on‐the‐fly” DNA detection. By harnessing motion‐assisted signal recovery, the platform achieved the limit of detection in low fM DNA concentrations, enabling detection across a wide dynamic range within only 5 min, which is significantly faster than any ...

Anisotropic virtual gain and large tuning of particles’ scattering by complex-frequency excitations

open access: yesCommunications Physics
Active tuning of the scattering of particles and metasurfaces is a highly sought-after property for a host of electromagnetic and photonic applications, but it normally requires challenging-to-control tunable (reconfigurable) or active (gain) media. Here,

Temperature independent diffuse scattering and elastic lattice deformations in relaxor PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3

open access: yes, 2011
The results of diffuse neutron scattering experiment on PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 single crystal above the Burns temperature are reported. It is shown that the high temperature elastic diffuse component is highly anisotropic in low-symmetry Brillouin zones and this
