Foreground contributions to 0.2-2 degrees CMB anisotropies
1995We examine the extent to which galactic and extragalactic foregrounds car, hamper the detection of primordial Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) anisotropies. We limit our discussion to intermediate angular scales, 10' less than or similar to theta less than or similar to 2 degrees, since many current as well as future experiments have been designed to ...

Improvement in the Flat Probe Diagnostics for Arbitrary Degree of Anisotropy
2017 IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS), 2017We investigate operation of the flat probe for measurements of the anisotropic ion or electron velocity distribution function (IVDF or EVDF). Particular attention was given for the limiting case of very narrow VDFs. A new algorithm for analysis of the flat probe data was developed.

Anisotropy of antiferromagnetic 180 degrees domains in LiCoPO4 and LiNiPO4.
Physical review letters, 2008Unexpected three-dimensional distributions of antiferromagnetic 180 degrees domains are observed in LiCoPO4 and LiNiPO4 by optical second harmonic generation. Domains in LiCoPO4 are isotropic in spite of the quasi-two-dimensional magnetic structure whereas domains in LiNiPO4 are distinctly anisotropic, but in contrast to the anisotropy of the magnetic ...

Measurements of magnetocrystalline anisotropy of Mg1–yCoyFe2O4+γ′ single crystals with different inversion degrees and y-values y = 0, 0.005, 0.010, 0.015, 0.022 are discussed. The measurements of flux melt grown single crystals were carried out with the ferromagnetic resonance method at 9.4 GHz and room temperature and with a torquemeter.
