On an Open Problem by Feng Qi Regarding an Integral Inequality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In the article, a functional inequality in abstract spaces is established, which gives a new affirmative answer to an open problem posed by Feng Qi in Several integral inequalities which appeared in J. Inequal. Pure Appl. Math. 1 (2000), no. 2, Art. 19.

Whipped and Mixed Warm Clouds in the Deep Sea

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 2, 28 January 2026.
Abstract Turbulence is indispensable to redistribute nutrients for all life forms larger than microbial, on land and in the ocean. Yet, the development of deep‐sea turbulence was not studied in three dimensions to date. As a disproportionate laboratory, an array of nearly 3,000 high‐resolution temperature sensors had been installed for three years on ...

Integration of Polymer‐Based Phase Change Materials Into Building Walls in the Hot Region of Algeria

open access: yesSPE Polymers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Schematic illustration of the integration of polymer‐based phase change materials (PEG/diatomite, PEG‐1000, and fatty‐acid polyurethane) into multilayer building walls in the hot region of Algeria, showing their optimal placement near the exterior wall to absorb daytime heat, delay heat transfer, and reduce indoor temperature fluctuations, thereby ...

New Algorithm and Phase Diagram of Noncommutative Phi**4 on the Fuzzy Sphere [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We propose a new algorithm for simulating noncommutative phi-four theory on the fuzzy sphere based on, i) coupling the scalar field to a U(1) gauge field, in such a way that in the commutative limit N\longrightarrow \infty, the two modes decouple and we ...

Transport Connectivity and Urban Development: The Case of Africa (1880–2020)

open access: yesGeographical Analysis, Volume 58, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the interplay between population dynamics and transport connectivity in African municipalities from 1880 to 2020. Using an original historical dataset spanning African countries, we examine how proximity to railways and ports has shaped population dynamics over time.

Modeling the urban sprawl effect on vegetation-cover in Annaba

open access: yesJournal of Fundamental and Applied Sciences, 2021
The environment is related to urban sprawl; it’s considered as the main threat to the natural city and the destruction of rural area. The aim of this study is to analyse changes on land-cover (urban task and forest-cover) in Annaba, using digital image processing techniques and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
