Optical absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopy of the growth of silver nanoparticles
Results obtained from the optical absorption and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy experiments have shown the formation of excitons in the silver-exchanged glass samples. These findings are reported here for the first time.

Structural changes in chemically deposited CdS: effect of thermal annealing
The dynamics of changes in the structural and optical properties of chemical bath- deposited (CBD) CdS/glass thin films in H2 annealing process in a pre-heated furnace between 200–450°C was studied systematically. Annealing imparts structural stability

A novel low‐bandgap random terpolymer is designed for narrow band detection in charge collection narrowing (CCN) based organic photodetectors. With a relative thin active layer (<1 µm), the CCN‐based devices achieved a narrowband response of 68 nm full‐width‐at‐half‐maximum at 916 nm, together with Responsivity values of 0.13 A W−1 and dark current of ...

Search of the ground state(s) of spin glasses and quantum annealing [PDF]
We review our earlier studies on the order parameter distribution of the quantum Sherrington-Kirkpatrick (SK) model. Through Monte Carlo technique, we investigate the behavior of the order parameter distribution at finite temperatures. The zero temperature study of the spin glass order parameter distribution is made by the exact diagonalization method.

A novel stratum corneum‐inspired zwitterionic hydrogel is developed for intelligent, flexible sensors, featuring intrinsic water retention and anti‐freezing properties. The quasi‐gel, composed of hygroscopic polymers and bound water, maintains its softness across a wide range of humidity.

Novel conjugated polymers with side‐chain π‐conjugation are developed to enhance organic thermoelectric properties. Remarkably, the pendant doping in the conjugated polymers preserved strong intermolecular ordering in the film states even at high FeCl3 dopant concentrations (16 – 32 mM), achieving a promising power factor > 10 µW m−1 K−2 across a wide ...

Effect of physical aging on the low-frequency vibrational density of states of a glassy polymer
The effects of the physical aging on the vibrational density of states (VDOS) of a polymeric glass is studied. The VDOS of a poly(methyl methacrylate) glass at low-energy (

Evolution of Magnetic Glass on Partial Crystallization of a Bulk Metallic Glass: Tb36Sm20Al24Co20 [PDF]
A comparative study on as cast and annealed rare earth bulk metallic glass (BMG) with composition Tb36Sm20Al24Co20 has been carried out by magnetization measurements. The as cast amorphous sample shows non-ergodic magnetization but does not show the behavior expected from magnetic glass.

Near‐Infrared Circularly Polarized Electroluminescence with Switchable Handedness in Organic LEDs
The first fully‐organic circularly polarized near‐infrared OLED, using a co‐assembled active layer of ITIC and a chiral inducer, exhibits dissymmetry values up to 0.074 and 1.65 Wsr−1m−2 radiance. The circular polarization sign can be switched by manipulating the position of the recombination zone, resulting in enhanced device performance and stability.
