Mitochondrial genome of the freshwater annelid Manayunkia occidentalis (Sabellida: Fabriciidae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2020
Here, we report the 15,103 bp mitochondrial genome of the freshwater fabriciid tubeworm Manayunkia occidentalis. We recovered 13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNA, and 22 tRNA. The gene order is consistent with the conserved pattern observed in most annelids.

GSL-Annelida

open access: yes, 2022
A mini-poster of the principal annelids (Polychaeta, Echiura) and other worms (Nematoda, Nemertea, Priapulida) that may be expected on biodiversity surveys in Gulf of St. Lawrence (GSL).

Mitochondrial genome of Pseudopotamilla reniformis (Annelida: Sabellidae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2023
Here, we report the complete mitochondrial genome of sabellid Pseudopotamilla reniformis (Bruguière, 1789) (16,408 bp) and comprised of two ribosomal RNAs, the ubiquitous set of 13 protein-coding sequences, and 22 tRNAs. The order of protein-coding genes

Distribution and diversity of earthworms (Lumbricidae) in Hesse (Central Germany): current knowledge

open access: yesSoil Organisms, 2018
In 2016 the first Red List of German earthworms was compiled, listing 46 species. However, little is known about the biodiversity and distribution of Lumbricidae in the individual federal states of Germany. In some of them (e.g.

Light-Mediated Toxicity of Porphyrin-Like Pigments from a Marine Polychaeta

open access: yesMarine Drugs, 2020
Porphyrins and derivatives form one of the most abundant classes of biochromes. They result from the breakdown of heme and have crucial physiological functions. Bilins are well-known representatives of this group that, besides significant antioxidant and

Mitochondrial genome of Sabella spallanzanii (Gmelin, 1791) (Sabellida: Sabellidae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2021
We report the mitochondrial genome of Sabella spallanzanii, an invasive Mediterranean sabellid introduced to Australia and New Zealand. The mitogenome is 15,581 bp long and consists of 38 genes, including 13 protein coding genes, two rRNA genes, and 23 ...

A probable oligochaete from an Early Triassic Lagerstätte of the southern Cis-Urals and its evolutionary implications [PDF]

open access: yesActa Palaeontologica Polonica, 2020
Oligochaetes, despite their important role in terrestrial ecosystems and a tremendous biomass, are extremely rare fossils. The palaeontological record of these worms is restricted to some cocoons, presumable trace fossils and a few body fossils the most ...
