Intra-annual height increment of Pinus sylvestris at high latitudes in Finland [PDF]
Intra-annual height growth of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) in four stands was followed for up to four growing seasons (2000-2003) in the northern boreal zone in Lapland. Elongation of the leader shoot correlated with temperature sum expressed as degree-days.

Relating annual increments of the endangered Blanding's turtle plastron growth to climate [PDF]
AbstractThis research is the first published study to report a relationship between climate variables and plastron growth increments of turtles, in this case the endangered Nova Scotia Blanding's turtle (Emydoidea blandingii). We used techniques and software common to the discipline of dendrochronology to successfully cross‐date our growth increment ...

The link between biodiversity and ecosystem function can depend on environmental conditions. This contingency can impede our ability to predict how biodiversity‐ecosystem function (BEF) relationships will respond to future environmental change, causing a

Age, growth, and reproduction of dolphinfish (Coryphaena hippurus) caught off the coast of North Carolina [PDF]
Age, growth, and reproductive data were obtained from dolphinfish (Coryphaena hippurus, size range: 89 to 1451 mm fork length [FL]) collected between May 2002 and May 2004 off North Carolina.

The effects of global warming on climate change have been recognized in global scale and it is expected that these effects will become even more obvious in near future. The climate change, especially in arid, semi-arid, and semi-humid regions, may result

Elevated CO2 does not increase eucalypt forest productivity on a low-phosphorus soil [PDF]
Rising atmospheric CO2 stimulates photosynthesis and productivity of forests, offsetting CO2 emissions. Elevated CO2 experiments in temperate planted forests yielded ~23% increases in productivity over the initial years.
