Targeting Tex10 Overcomes Oxaliplatin Resistance by Competitively Disrupting the Non‐Canonical BAF Complex in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that Tex10 drives oxaliplatin resistance in colorectal cancer by competitively binding BRD9 to disrupt the ncBAF complex, thereby suppressing AMBRA1 transcription and ULK1‐mediated autophagy. Gemcitabine is identified as a direct Tex10 inhibitor that restores autophagy and overcomes resistance.

Annular pancreas - Emphasis on magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography findings

open access: yes, 2004
An annular pancreas is a rare congenital anomaly in which a portion of the pancreatic tissue surrounds the duodenum. Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) is used extensively for evaluating the pancreatobiliary ducts.

A C‐Nucleoside Analogue of Cordycepin With High Metabolic Stability and Potent Anti‐Psoriatic Activity via Microneedle Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work identified CPD3a as a potent, stable C‐nucleoside cordycepin derivative. When formulated into microneedle array for topical treatment, it ameliorated psoriasis by rebalancing immunity and enhancing antioxidant defenses. ABSTRACT Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by immune dysregulation and epidermal hyperplasia ...

Periduodenal Tuberculosis masquerading as Annular Pancreas

open access: yesThe Annals of African Surgery, 2012
Gastrointestinal tuberculosis is common in Africa. Nonetheless, isolated duodenal involvement is rare, and is more likely to mimic other causes of duodenal obstruction. We report a patient who succumbed to an isolated mid duodenal tuberculosis, diagnosed

Measurement of the film thickness, film velocity and entrainment fraction in a liquid-air annular flow using a conductance flowmeter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In certain older oil wells in the Middle East, the produced fluid is predominantly natural gas which flows at very high rates (e.g. 50,000). Smaller quantities of crude oil (e.g. 50) and water (950) are also produced.

Senkyunolide I Inhibits mtDNA‐cGAS‐STING Signaling in Macrophages via Targeting VDAC1 Oligomerization to Attenuate Ulcerative Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In macrophages, senkyunolide I (SEI) directly targets the K12 residue of VDAC1 to inhibit its stress‐induced oligomerization, a critical upstream event that effectively prevents mitochondrial DNA release and subsequent cGAS‐STING pathway activation.

[Annular pancreas].

open access: yesVestnik khirurgii imeni I. I. Grekova, 1984
Brief clinico-rentgenological characteristics of annular pancreas are described on the basis of 5 personal clinical observations and literature data. Recommendations for choosing the optimal surgical procedures are given. Collateral anastomoses are thought to be expedient in combination with vagotomy or without them.

Engineered Brain‐Targeted Exosomes Delivering FGF1 for Sustained Glycemic Regulation and Multitarget Neurovascular Protection in Diabetic Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Diabetic stroke is characterized by a hyperglycemic and pro‐inflammatory microenvironment that exacerbates neurovascular dysfunction. However, the blood–brain barrier (BBB) remains a formidable obstacle, restricting the delivery of most therapeutic molecules.
