Mitral valve prosthetic ring annuloplasty represents a key milestone in the history of mitral valve repair, delivering restoration of annular shape and size. Increased leaflet coaptation, together with significant reduction in stress on sutures, has ensured predictability and immediate stability for valve repair, both of which were lacking with ...

Intradiscal Electrothermal Annuloplasty
American Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, 2005Low back pain is a common problem, and although the majority of cases of low back pain resolve, a subset of patients will continue to have intractable pain despite appropriate conservative treatments. Intradiscal electrothermal annuloplasty is a minimally invasive spinal procedure that has been proposed to treat provocation discography-proven internal ...

Percutaneous mitral annuloplasty
Coronary Artery Disease, 2009Mitral annuloplasty is the most common surgical procedure performed for mitral valve regurgitation, whether performed alone or as part of a more complex repair. A less invasive percutaneous approach to mitral annuloplasty associated with lesser morbidity might offer advantages over a surgical procedure in some patients, even if less efficacious.

Tricuspidal Annuloplasty. Results and Complications
The Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon, 1982Between 1976 and 1979, 76 patients underwent tricuspid annuloplasty (TA) for predominant tricuspid regurgitation (TR). The TR was functional (secondary to mitral valve disease) in 70, postrheumatic in 4, posttraumatic in one and secondary to myxomatous degeneration in one.

Technic of tricuspid annuloplasty
The American Journal of Surgery, 1967Abstract Significant tricuspid insufficiency accompanying lesions of the mitral and aortic valves produces serious effects if they are not repaired at the same time as the left sided lesions. The technic of tricuspid annuloplasty is described, a procedure which if properly performed is most useful and successful.

Mitral annuloplasty ring migration
The International Journal of Cardiovascular ImagingMitral annuloplasty ring dehiscence is a rare post-operative complication [1, 2]. Even more rarely, dehiscent annuloplasty rings can migrate leading to vascular complications like aortic rupture and pseudoaneurysm formation [3]. This case highlights rare but severe complications of annuloplasty ring dehiscence and migration, and challenges of managing ...

The purpose of this study was to review our experience with modified De Vega tricuspid annuloplasty versus ring annuloplasty for treating functional tricuspid regurgitation (TR).In all, 448 consecutive patients undergoing tricuspid annuloplasty with concomitant procedures between 2000 and 2012 were included.

[Selective tricuspid annuloplasty].
Zhonghua wai ke za zhi [Chinese journal of surgery], 1994Six cases of functional tricuspid regurgitation associated with rheumatic valvular disease were treated with selective tricuspid annuloplasty simultaneously with MVR or DVR from Sept. 1990 to Feb. 1993. Five cases were followed up for 8-32 months, the primary results were satisfactory and quite encouraging.

The annuloplasty prosthesis comprises a ring-shaped member (10) having substantially rectangular overall dimensions of the transverse cross-section with a ratio between height (22) and width (24) of between 0.2 and 10 and at least one through opening (20) orientated substantially transversely with respect to the general plane of the ring-shaped member (

Kyobu geka. The Japanese journal of thoracic surgery, 2010
Isolated tricuspid valve disease is rare. In approximately 75% of the cases, the tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is caused by dilatation of right ventricle, tricuspid annulus, and pulmonary hypertension. The presence of TR associated with left-sided valve disease, especially mitral, is very common.
