Pressurized Solid Oxide Fuel Cells: Operational Behavior

open access: yes, 2011
The operational behavior of SOFC short stacks at elevated pressures up to 7 bar was examined. The experiments were performed on planar, anode-supported 5-cell short stacks.

Engineering Intelligent Graphene Oxide‐Cellulose Membranes: Suppressing Thermal Runaway for a Safer Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel thermos‐responsive hydroxypropyl cellulose/graphene oxide (HPC/GO) composite membrane is fabricated for reversible temperature‐gated ion transport in aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. Enabled by LCST‐driven structural transition, unimpeded ion diffusion at room temperature delivers high capacity, while elevated temperature suppresses transport; full ...

Memristor‐Driven Active‐Matrix Organic Light‐Emitting Diode for Energy Efficient and High‐Resolution Displays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that memristors can replace conventional 2T–1C driving circuits with simplified 1T–1 m architectures by exploiting resistance switching. With ultra‐low switching voltages (< ±0.2 V) and multi‐level resistance states, the memristors precisely control the current injected into organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

Dynamic Proton Activity Regulation via Brønsted Bases Enables Durable and High‐Energy‐Density Zn||MnO2 Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Our study demonstrates Brønsted base‐mediated proton transfer for HOAc dissociation regulation in weakly acidic electrolytes, where imidazole achieves optimal dynamic proton equilibrium‐simultaneously stabilizing Zn anodes and enabling efficient Mn2+/MnO2 conversion.

Effect of anode–cathode distance and anodizing time on hardcoat anodizing of AA7075

open access: yesJurnal Polimesin
Fishing activities in Indramayu ( a seaside city in West Java) typically use boats powered by propellers. These propellers often strike floating objects, resulting in damage such as cracked or broken blades. A survey revealed that the fractures are mainly caused by the poor quality of propellers produced using the gravity casting technique, which ...

Spatiotemporal simulation of nickel oxide and carbon phases formation in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC)

open access: yes, 2013
The formation of secondary phases in the porous electrodes is a severe mechanism affecting the lifetime of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). It can occur via various chemical mechanisms and it has a significant influence on cell performance due to pore ...

Formation of Quasi‐Decoupling Interface on Li‐Metal Anodes in High Donor Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Li‐metal anode (LMA) is stabilized by introducing Li2Te2 as an electrolyte additive for Li‐metal batteries. Upon contact with Li, Li2Te2 spontaneously converts to Li2Te, which electronically isolates Li from dimethyl sulfoxide due to its large bandgap and minimal Bader charge transfer.

Chemical Dealloying Synthesis of CuS Nanowire-on-Nanoplate Network as Anode Materials for Li-Ion Batteries

open access: yesMetals, 2018
CuS is a metal sulfide anode material used in constructing lithium ion batteries (LIBs) with great promise. However, its practical application is limited by rapid capacity decline, poor cycling, and rate performance.
