Fabrication of Anodic Porous Alumina by Squaric Acid Anodizing [PDF]
Abstract The growth behavior of anodic porous alumina formed via anodizing in a new electrolyte, squaric acid (3,4-dihydroxy-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dione), is reported for the first time. A high-purity aluminum foil was anodized in a 0.1 M squaric acid solution at 293 K and a constant applied potential of 100-150 V. Anodic oxides grew on the aluminum foil

Fabrication of Anodic Nanoporous Alumina via Acetylenedicarboxylic Acid Anodizing [PDF]
The nano-morphologies of anodic porous alumina formed via anodizing in a new electrolyte, acetylenedicarboxylic acid (ADCA), are described. Anodic oxides grew uniformly on the aluminum at voltage of 87.5-95.0 V, but a burned black oxide film was formed at higher voltage.

A coupled map lattice model for spontaneous pore formation in anodic oxidation
We construct a coupled map lattice model for the spontaneous pore formation in anodic oxidation in two dimensions and perform numerical simulations, after we explain steady flat solutions, their linear stability and a single pore solution for a model of ...

Photonic stop bands in quasi-random nanoporous anodic alumina structures
The existence of photonic stop bands in the self-assembled arrangement of pores in porous anodic alumina structures is investigated by means of rigorous 2D finite- difference time-domain calculations.

EDX elemental map of the pre‐oxidized MgO–steel cermet anode cross section after electrolysis. The development of inert anodes for aluminum electrolysis remains challenging due to the high corrosivity of cryolite‐based melts at 950°C–1000°C. This study investigates the corrosion and process behavior of a carbon‐free MgO–steel cermet anode derived from ...

Tubular Nano-Mesh Fabrication by Aluminum Anodic Oxidation [PDF]
This paper presents a construction method regarding a tubular nano-mesh for which the anodic oxidation of aluminum (Al) wire is used. The first step of tubular-nano-mesh production is Al-wire anodization.
