Elimination of sulfamethoxazole by anodic oxidation using mixed metal oxide anodes
Journal of Water Process Engineering, 2023The degradation of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) was studied by anodic oxidation (AO) process using mixed metal oxide (MMO) electrodes with different Ru/Ir ratios. Each electrode was characterized morphological and electrochemically. The electrolyzes were performed in NaCl and Na2SO4 applying two current densities (10 and 50 mA cm-2).

Fabricating Anodic Aluminum Oxide by Anodic-Oxidation
Advanced Materials Research, 2011Uniform parallel pores and controllable pore diameter make Anodic Aluminum Oxide (AAO) membrane one of the best materials in synthesis of one-dimensional nano-structured material. High orderly AAO template was prepared by anodic-oxidation. The prepared AAO membrane’s apertures ranged from 30 nm to 75 nm.

Anodizing is a low-temperature, low-cost electrochemical process allowing for the growth, on the surface of valve metals and valve metal alloys, of anodic oxides of tunable composition and properties. This article is an overview on theoretical aspects concerning the general aspects of the kinetics of growth of barrier and porous anodic oxides and some ...

Anodic Oxidation of Organics on Oxide Anodes
1998The electrochemical oxidation (or combustion) of organics with simultaneous oxygen evolution has been investigated using different oxide electrodes. A simplified mechanism for the electrochemical oxidation of organics is presented, according to which selective oxidation occurs with oxide anodes (MOx) for which the formation of higher oxides (e.g.: MOX ...

Oxide anodes in electro-organic oxidation. Oxidation of maleic addon tungsten oxide anodes
Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 1982The electrochemical oxidation of maleic acid on tungsten anodes has been investigated. Glyoxal and carbon dioxide were the main products together with tartaric acid and acetaldehyde. Glyoxal is also obtained as the main product from the oxidation ofd-tartaric acid.

The Oxide TFT By Anodic Oxidation
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2016Oxide-TFTs (thin film transistors) have been studied and are being applied to the AMLCD and AMOLED. One advantage of the oxide TFT is higher mobility than amorphous silicon TFT. The oxide material such as IGZO (indium gallium zinc oxide) is sputtered for the active layer.

Organocatalyzed Anodic Oxidation of Aldehydes
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2012A method for the catalytic formation of electroauxiliaries and subsequent anodic oxidation has been developed. The process interfaces N-heterocyclic carbene-based organocatalysis with electro-organic synthesis to achieve direct oxidation of catalytically generated electroactive intermediates. We demonstrate the applicability of this method as a one-pot

Anodic oxidation of benzoquinone using diamond anode
Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2014The anodic degradation of 1,4-benzoquinone (BQ), one of the most toxic xenobiotic, was investigated by electrochemical oxidation at boron-doped diamond anode. The electrolyses have been performed in a single-compartment flow cell in galvanostatic conditions. The influence of applied current (0.5-2 A), BQ concentration (1-2 g dm(-3)), temperature (20-45

Anodic oxidation of triphenylphosphinephenylimine
Electrochimica Acta, 1977Abstract Anodic oxidation of triphenylphosphinephenylimine in acetonitrile has been examined by voltammetry, controlled potential coulometry, and electron spin resonance spectroscopy. Product analyses showed that triphenylphosphine oxide and mixtures of polymeric oxidized salts of aniline are major products along with unreacted starting material.
